Thanks for your input!
I mostly agree to your points and obviously I didn't want to change this 
before the 1.0 release ;)
I rather thought about adding a note to the documentation mentioning, 
that this might change with a future release. But then again, it's 
probably a question of good release notes and proper deprecation handling.
