[FLOW3-general] Rumours of Phoenix dropping ExtJS?

Hey Jigal.


You could have a look at the keynote of t3con11 from yesterday. At
~0:26, Robert talks about switching from ExtJS.

He talks about ExtJS not realy fitting the Fluid way since ExtJS
generates huge interfaces out of JavaScript configuration with little
lines of HTML code. He further talks about huge efforts of making
little custom ExtJS interface parts look and act the way they want.

The v4 introduced ExtJS, maybe because Phoenix came up with it. But
that, in my thoughts, was not part of any migration concept. So this
doesn't necessarily result in v4 dropping ExtJS and switch to Sprout
because there is no need for. ExtJS works pretty well in the v4
backend and the Phoenix backend is completely different anyway.
