[FLOW3-general] Your feedback – what's missing for FLOW3 1.0 beta?

Hey,

what do you exactly mean with "pushing a beta proves nothing"? I would
say it highly depends on the definition of the terms
alpha/beta/rc/gold status. There were 14 Alpha versions just because
the whole project was under heavy development and thus the API was not
stable. Calling that "Alpha" is rather common. Calling a subsequent
release a "Beta" of course must be well substantiated but do not
forget the in-house project of creating the T3CON11-Fra website with
v5. I'm pretty sure they have made some good points on where to
improve the framework and generally how matured it feels. If they
decide that it's a beta, then i'm pretty sure that they know about the
inferences and side-effects of doing the next step.

Concerning documentation. The german Extbase book is currently being
translated and you're welcome to join. Translating a book to a foreign
language and keeping a certain language level is, as i learned by
myself, not as easy as you might think at first. I guess, the only
little mistake that has happened with the translation is that the
public announcement and the call for translators was not loud enough.
But all in all i guess we're making considerable progress with that.
