Hello Peter!

Not sure about FLOW3, but in the backport for TYPO3 - Extbase - you
can of course use a "MediaRepository" to fetch _all_ types of media
objects; the repository would then return a _mixed_ set of objects.

Probably FLOW3 should be able to do that as well, so I'm not sure
why it doesn't work for you.
