This complicates IMHO things more than it makes things easier. In case of DBAL it isn't easy to take
care that you don not join tables from different DBs. It's IMHO absolutely wrong if any client code
of a repository has to know such specific details of the implementation and deployment.

So one Unit Of Work/Identity Map pair should IMHO access only one DB. But it may make sense for your
application to have another UoW/IM pair which of course may access other storage mechanisms. But
again you must take care as you have to know which objects belong to which persistence "cloud" (my
term).
