One bottleneck with FLOW3 on Windows seems to be the I/O operations (and 
there are many). I hope that we can cache most of these in future 
versions - for now try to disable anti virus realtime checks for your 
FLOW3 installation and especially for the temp directory (which should 
be configured to be at C:/tmp/ or something short).

I hope we can get some more profiling for Windows - but on my laptop 
this is a rather tedious job as profiling _really_ slows the whole thing 
down..
