Very Nice. :)
After that i've searched for some more information and implementations:
http://toys.lerdorf.com/archives/51-Playing-with-Gearman.html
http://weierophinney.net/matthew/archives/240-Writing-Gearman-Workers-in-PHP.html

The more i think of that, i think FLOW3 needs an implementation of that. ;)
A basic implementation so developers can easy extend for their own services.
And perhaps some default services for FLOW3. I think some parts of the
framework could really be "outsourced".
@Karsten:
Which parts could be outsourced from the point a core developer?
What would be useful / helpful in the future?
Where could you await the most performance improvement?

The simplest (in my opinion) would be cache warming and clearing.
I do not know if this is a part of the caching part of FLOW3: Generating PHP
Files for AOP in the background and regenerate on file modification (perhaps
inotify could solve this without a background service anyway?).

Kind regards
