[FLOW3-general] Removing hard-wiring of FLUID and FLOW3

I am interested in using an XSLT driven view system in FLOW3, but when looking through the code I notice that the use of FLUID is presently hard-wired into the controller classes.  Is the framework going to be designed around exclusively using FLUID in the future, or is this something that I can work on abstracting and submitting patches without pushing a stone up a slippery hill.
