[FLOW3-general] general question about using flow3 in productive system

Hi Georg,

as much as I would like you to use FLOW3 for your project – I can't guarantee that there will be a 1.0 stable out in June. We're currently aiming for a 1.0 beta to be released in April or so, but in the end this all depends on how fast we're able to finish the remaining tasks.

Maybe the combination of Extbase and Fluid with TYPO3 4.3 would be an option for you. This would also enable you to easily migrating to FLOW3 or even TYPO3 5.0 at a later point in time.

By the way, our criteria for releasing a beta version of FLOW3 is that we have one or two non-trivial application running in production ourselves. We'll start developing one in January, so for the schedule it looks quite good at the moment. On the other hand we have a few other obligations (TYPO3 Association, conferences, documentation, ...) which can slow down development.

Thanks a lot for considering FLOW3, you'll surely get the chance to use it for one of your next projects.

Cheers,
robert

And this shop should also be sold to our customers with their individual look and feel but with the same articles from a big pool of the main shop. So it would be very great to use a framework which really separates design from logic code. Besides as an old c++ programmer I'd love to code my first really object oriented php project. And from my view FLOW3 is the only real OOP Framework for PHP.
