[Typo3-windows] Password not accepted

Hi Koen,

Thanks for your help.

I downloaded the package again and it's was a little bit better. Now the
install tool starts with the 1-2-3-go tool. Before, the install tool didn't
start with 1-2-3 but only with that one when you click "continue to
configure TYPO3" after the 1-2-3-go steps when you can read "it's done".
Before I didn't see the 1-2-3-go steps!!

But the login is still not working. I receive still the same error as
before:
"login attempt did not succeed ..."

I also created an admin user but without success!

I despair!

Other Ideas?

Hi Mike,

I had the same problem when I downloaded the first 3.8 dummy package that
was available on typo3.org.

Never could figure out why it happened, but the problem disappeared when I
downloaded the package again at a later stage.

Are you using the latest downloaded version of 3.8 ?


An other possibility could be that you need to create the admin user (in the
install tool). Check out the MySQL db.

I just subscribed to your typo3-windows list and want to post a message:

 

I run a Windows XP System with PHP 4.4, Apache 2.0.53 and MySQL4.1. The
installation worked fine but when I want to start the BackEnd with the
username "admin" and the password "password" I always receive this message:

 

Your login attempt did not succeed. Make sure to spell your username and
password correctly, including upper/lowercase characters.

 

I use the Firefox-Browser 1.0.7 and Javascript and Cookies are enabled.

 

What goes wrong?
