[TYPO3-UG UK] Looking for a TYPO3 developer (professional user) who is also a PHP developer

Dear friends,

(Sorry for the length of this email - I've read a few of the archives which are not as long and
don't wish to strain people's eyes :)

I am starting a business in around 6 months. My background is IT, having worked in the industry
in many capacities for around 12 years. I have been through installation and some development of
TYPO3, having few real issues, although quite a few months back now (basically testing it IS the
right CMS for my needs). At the same time I also taught myself basics of PHP. Having said that,
I cannot do everything and only wanted to test the waters so to speak (due diligence).

I have a need for a freelance developer to do some of the background work, which would
involve a little training as I am a hands on kind of person and wish to know what is going on.
Don't let that scare you, I'm a fairly laid back aussie.

The person I am looking for does not need to be a professional developer (although they may be),
more someone who knows enough about TYPO3 to create templates, help me with a little more
than basics, but also knows PHP well enough to help me link certain aspects of the database
backend for my business with TYPO3 using PHP. The other major requirement is they be in
London.

Knowing as much as I do (but certainly not overstating my ability), I believe much of what the
business requires is not that difficult. In relation to TYPO3, I believe there is nothing needed
further than a fairly standard installation, some security considerations and customised templates...
factors someone relatively practiced with TYPO3 would find easy (the beauty of such a CMS).
The initial database is already created and knowing what I believe my PHP requirements are,
there are quite a few PHP code snippets needed, but they are all similar or build on each other.
The PHP code does not have to be completely efficient or beautiful (this is a start-up so cost
is also a factor - although less important than finding the right kind of person), it can always
be massaged later. Of course TYPO3, PHP and the database are all meant to work together.

I am looking to find someone I can work with, who is able to put in perhaps a couple of hours a
week over a period of a few months (flexible, and we'll have to see what is ACTUALLY required)
and obviously feels they are capable of the above requirements. There will most likely be some
ongoing work (somewhat depending on the person I find) and of course payment would be
involved :) (if such a person is on this group and going to reply, please indicate your rates)

I'd be grateful of your help / advice in finding that person.

Thanks in advance,
Geoff.
