[TYPO3-UG UK] Newbie first time set up problem

Hello All

I am setting up TYPO3 on my home system. WAMP Quickstart 3.6 ORC1.

After the installation, I can see the backend of the Bigfeet test site, but
cannot see the webpages at the front end. Instead, I get this error:

*Parse error*: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in *
C:\Typo3\htdocs\quickstart\tslib\class.tslib_content.php* on line *5557*

*Fatal error*: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: tslib_cobj in *
C:\Typo3\htdocs\quickstart\t3lib\class.t3lib_div.php* on line *2802*

Can anyone please advise?
