[TYPO3-UG US] Spamshield Won't work with ve_guestbook

Running typo3 ver 4.5.29 and PHP ver 5.2.17
Using ve_guestbook ver 2.10.1
Using Spamshield ver 1..0.0
Have Spamshield configured to consider duplicate "first-name" and "sur-name" as spam, and if more than one link is spam.
Created a ve-guestbook entry with same "first-name" and "sur-name", and more than one link.
But, Spamshield doesn't seem to be running, as entry goes into the database.

Any ideas?
