[TYPO3-UG US] Install help

Aaron,

Thank you for replying to my post.  The database server is a part of the
hosting company and I can use phpMyadmin to create database and tables.
But I know nothing more about its architechture.  I have not tried to
create anything from a web-side command.

You maybe correct with the idea that the database server does not have
permission to create databases.  But if that's the case, then why does the
second screen not show the database that I have already created in the
"select an EMPTY existing dataase" drop down where it could use that
database instead of creating one?  Any thoughts there?

Also, is there a way around the INSTALLTool?  Like, can I create the tables
using a sql script?  And if so, where can I find a list of all the things i
need to create or configure to get this done?
