BTW I did the .zip install which unzips to a quickstart-3.8.0 folder. Is
tarball preferable?

Hi Eric,

Are you running your own server? Did you do the Zip or Tarball install? 
I also recommend the Dummy package over the quickstart. Dummy seems to
include more out of the box features and gives you a cleaner start... 
it's also the only one I'm familiar with ;)
