There are quite a few American consultancies using TYPO3 however fewer 
seem to place a priority on "marketing" it's advantages over other 
commercial and open source packages. The reason may be that most of 
these American based consultancies have a very limited understanding of 
configuration options and best practices... or maybe they like to keep a 
secret ;)

The trick to TYPO3 is learning what it is you want to do with it after 
finding out what it is capable of. Finding out what TYPO3 is capable of 
took me about a year in my spare time. Marketing TYPO3's capabilities 
and competing with similar products will open up the market here.

My interest in TYPO3 is using it as a marketing tool for specialty 
markets. SEO is one of TYPO's greatest strengths and a citical one for 
generating an economy for any business. If anyone in the US market 
questions TYPO3's strengths just point them to
