What exactly do you do require for a case study? I work with the
Distance Learning Department of a 5 college community college district.
If participating in a study would help us get rolling, we might be able
to help.

Subject: [TYPO3-UG US] Update about TYPO3.us

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have been a little absent. I've got a few updates to share.

1. Case Studies: We've gotten a few case studies now and we are starting
to get some interest from others in writing more of them. In fact, we
may have a another large case study from a university in the near
future! I'll keep you posted.

Please take some time and think about what case studies you can
contribute. It is a great way to promote your business and it's going to
be the lifeblood of our new site. :)

2. Solutions: I've had some interest in this section, but we still need
more writers. The format can be found here:

lution.pdf

3. Products: This section will be extremely important because it will
showcase TYPO3's most popular (and most finished) extensions. Currently,
the only way to find out what an extension does is to read a manual on
typo3.org (if there is a manual). For example, where can you find good
information about the versioning extension with screenshots? We don't
want potential users to overlook something that important. This is a
great way to contribute back to the community. We can free up the
extension developers to write code and technical manuals, while we will
help in the marketing of the product by writing text geared to potential
users.

I've written a rough draft of the Rich Text Editor product to show the
format we are looking for. Please note at the bottom there is an empty
section called "About the maintainer". I've emailed Stanislas for a
brief profile of himself and/or his company. I added this in response to
the previous idea of making the site more "personal". I really like that
idea and think we need to add more profiles to the site.

This weekend I'll be publishing a roadmap and task list with some
tentative deadlines on TYPO3.us. I'll also add the current member list
sheet.

The other item I'd like to have finished this weekend is the survey
results. We received 40 results total and I will compile them and post
them for discussion in the forum.

I'm also going to be giving an update about the US portal to the T3
marketing team next week. I'd like to have a clear picture of our
progress by then (so I can brag on everyone ;) ).

Thanks to all that have volunteered so far. It is appreciated!

Regards,

Michelle
