[TYPO3-UG US] New to Typo - need some direction.

That pretty much describes me. 2 years ago TYPO3 was a little more rough 
around the corners. It's getting easier to use. It took me about a year 
to configure TYPO3 for an easy to alter template. I'm posting my 
progress live as downloadable files.

You'll find TYPO3 very easy to use once you locate the necessary 
documentation... which can sometimes be long and drawn out. There is a 
method to locating needed information and it takes time to learn.

You're going to need to take it step by step. 1) install 2) install 
template 3) create page and sub pages 4) install extensions. Evaluating 
what extensions and templates are available to you that fit your needs 
is important.

You'll certainly want to install fdfx_2cols and possibly fdfx_3cols:
