[TYPO3-UG US] Problem with a menu...

I have installed the examples from the TYPO3 book. I am modifying one of 
them that is using a TMENU for subnavigation. But it does not show.

The submenu should appear on the left.

I thought it might be an error in the CSS but it appears fine. If some 
one could look at it, I would appreciate it. Email me at 
chris.duffy at nhmccd.edu if you have any ideas.
