Yea, not only that but even though their front page looks impressive at
first glance, when you try to find out real information about it, it is
like finding a needle in a haystack full of hype and politicians
speeches.

I only found a few pieces of useful information.

Their PDF white paper had a lot of jargon an hype and talks about all
kinds of stuff they plan to support but it is hard to get a clear
picture of what they currently support. Much of the jargon I have never
heard of and have not seen mentioned in other CMS's. They seem to be
primarily focused on Java a lot but I cannot ascertain what language the
CMS is actually written in. If it is written in Java, yuk!

I had to dig deep into the PDF file to even find out how it was
licensed. Their legal link didn't even tell me. It just has a bunch of
legal junk about accessing and using their web site. Turns out to be
LGPL, which is good. However, it says says they may change their
licensing policies on future releases but does not say what to.

The PDF document said it uses Hybernate 3.0 for mapping internal objects
to the underlying database. The first DB supported is MySQL. I never
heard of hybernate and the site was dead, but I guess this means it
currently uses MySQL.

They are using flash to even see their feature overview. I almost never
have flash installed and working on our Unix machines.

I certainly hope you do not use them as an example of how to present
information for the US Typo3 site. Try to keep the wording informative
and to the point. I could probably replace several paragraphs of their
hype and present readers with more information by just say "Alfresco is
written in xxx and currently uses MyPHP for the database".
