[TYPO3-UG US] BPM: Back-end time editing

Does anyone has any ideas how the backend modifies itself by time  
local timezones?
Can this be turned off?

My problem is that when Typo3 admins are in the backend, they see  
different dates in tt_news and other extensions.

Example: Central time zone users see 14:45 when editing, Eastern time  
zone users see 15:45 when editing.
