Thanks PC,

I don't know if there's a password to the backend admin section. There was
no login under the original administrator's name- I went to Tools in CMS and
PHP admin.
I'm not sure that I was looking in the right place.

I've passed on my login and password for content management to the new
host's techs and mentioned the backend admin section.

I will forward your reply to them shortly. However I fear that I'll be doing
this.

You've been a great help. Thanks again.

Richard

Hi Richard,

Give them password to the Typo backend admin section. There are plugins
that can be installed and the files can be explored and even downloaded.

If your current host cant give cpanel, then u dont need it. But the only
thing needed would be how your typo3 was configured in apache. Also, u can
get the mysql username and password from the explorer and make a dump of the
database.

Think outside cpanel. there is a way always.

regards
PC
