[TYPO3-UG Australia] install gdlib woes

You need to compile PHP with GDlib. Simply installing GDlib will not  
do the trick.

Some operating system (such as RedHat) might have a different version  
of PHP ready for download. A version that is already compiled with  
GDlib.
