[TYPO3-translators] Preparing an extension for the translation server

Hi all,

I would like to use the translation server for a couple of my 
extensions. For the moment, they include the translations inside the 
locallang files.

My question: in order to make these extensions ready for the translation 
server, do I have to remove these "local" translations first or can I do 
that later (i.e. when translations are ready on the translation server)?
