[TYPO3-translators] global translation file?

hallo everybody

since in rc1 the translations files go into typo3conf/l10n/ .. it's  
not possible anymore to have a global translation file?

it could be ok to install it (althought with dozens of websites it's  
a little work).. but how will it be with updates?
kasper i know you are working for a good solution for 4.0.. can we help?
