When I see previous TYPO3 marketing, sure, I think it's okay to do such
a mailing.

Man, I got an email from Opscode with an invitation to their community
summit. Two weeks ago, I got 3 emails to all the mail accounts involved
in my contribution to openstack.

Yes, others are bad or even worse, but they have events with thousands
of people, not like the T3DD with 200 people for a community that has
grown since far more than 10 years! Others supersede this in their
second year!
