Tabs vs Scrolling:

scrolling is a common technique, has hardware-support (scrollwheel etc.) and is known from allmost every website. It's also possible to use 'tabulator'-key to jump to the next field. Using tabs (or too many tabs) ends in a click marathon where you loose your focus as the content changes and you have to 'reindes' the page with your mind.

But I guess using tabs would in any case be a configurable user-setting.
