Hallo,
I support the view of Jigal. To evaluate outdated extensions is not realistic.
It is realistic to define search criteria, that weight the importance of an extension and let the non-interesting drop more and more behind.
However this weighting algorithm is very important. It's the quality of its search algorithem what makes a search engine successfull. This quality is missing in TER.
Another matter is to get the update of the extension manager more fast. I would suggest to limit the amount of extensions the extension manager retrieves by default. This can be based on a list created by the weighting mechanism.
Kind regards
Elmar
