Instead of any really destructive operation we've opted for marking 
these extensions as "outdated".
Because these outdated extensions will not be shown in search results 
(unless you activate the option to include them) and will not be shown 
in the EM. This way the extensions are still available with some effort, 
for example if you want to make your own, improved version :-)

I think the current plans have the same impact, but are a bit less 
destructive. What do you think?
