I am a bit surprised by the harsh tone of your reply. The link Fabien
posted was all I asked for. I know that open source is nothing
controlled by any government or what so ever. You noticed I put official
in double-quotes?
Why I even dared to ask for something "official" (to mention that evil
word one more time)? For me it is enough when I read the news on the
mentioned newssite in the first post. However I plan to discuss at work
that we now should start to really work with PHP 5 as we are still
developing with PHP 4. Typo3 switching to PHP 5 could be probably the
best argument for this.
However I cant tell my boss something like "hey, look at some news-page
no one knows, they say Typo3 switches to PHP 5, lets do the same! They
didnt link any sources and didnt mention any core developer who said the
switch is going to happen, but anyway.". I was in need of a more
reliable source. That was all.
Great that you code in PHP 5 a long time, my sincere congratulations. I
would like to do the same, but at work I cant because on our client
server still runs PHP 4.
If I am in need of another lesson of German history that we, as it
seems, cant get rid of or another lesson in advanced source
code/announcement philosophy I´ll ask "his majesty" Elmar.
I wish you all the best for your weekend, my dear.
