Hi Fabien,
Christian Welzel showed us last week (30. Juni 07), how easy a PHP4/PHP5
switch can be done. So we will be able to support both for a while. If you
like, you can implement the fast native SPL for PHP5 with that switch for
us.
The only class that needs to be altered is tx_lib_object/tx_lib_objectBase.
Then simply send a patch to this list or to bugs.typo3.org.
