Hello,

sometimes it is usefull to show how other projects did it. The calendar propject
started out of a similar chaotic situation. Maybe we can learn something from this.

1.) Comparism:

The calendar project started with comparism of the existing calendars in the
WIKI. A very active phase.

http://wiki.typo3.org/index.php/Calendar.

2.) Wishlist:

As a result of this they have set up the All-in-one Wishlist for THE CALENDAR.

http://wiki.typo3.org/index.php/Calendar#All-in-one_Wishlist_for_THE_CALENDAR

3.) Concept:

Now they did a concept. They even set up a hompage. But that isn't linked from
the WIKI. Nowbody can follow the track and find the concept.

4.) Time passed:

After this a long time very little happend. There was a few discussion on the NG.

5.) Alive again:

Someone had done first classes. A second one added another part now.

Although there is something promising to see meanwhile other develops still
didn't tatke up active development. We only see 2 people developing out of 10
that have originally been registered.

What can we learn?

Regards

Elmar
