Hi Michelle, hi Joey,
I am sure that there are several members of the jury already at the terminal but
still to shy to step onto the stage with their personal estimation. Well, I
still need to test some of the proposals myself.
It is always good if someone has the courage to do the first step. If he does it
in a provoking way, the better. That activates others to answer. In this you
both do a good job. Remember that every member of the jury can still alter his
voting until the deadline.
Well if Joes argumentations is rather personal, I think his voting is completely
OK.
Accessibilty has been a big theme in the last year through german/european laws.
Modifications of css_styled_imagetext made it possible for TYPO3 sites to take
part in the supernational Biene Award: http://www.biene-award.de/award/
Three of the winning sites were already made with TYPO3.
The implementation of cron_cssstyledimgtext into the core will garantee that
TYPO3 is ready to take part in public invitations to tender in future. We can't
estimate this highly enough. It will give TYPO3 a completly new position amoung
competing CMS.
Michells arguments for chc_forum as an outstanding example for extension
coordiantion and documentation count as much. They can stand for the spirit and
idea of the Extension Coordination Team.
I would not bet for any of the candidates at this early state. Let us see, how
the rest of the jury will vote.
Regards
Elmar
