[TYPO3-dam-devel] cc_meta extensions

Hi everyone

As you know the cc_meta service extensions are still owned by René Fritz. Since there are some bugs in these extensions that need to be fixed, IMO we need to decide how to go on.

I sent an e-mail to René Fritz at June 29 and I guess I'm not the first one who did. The easiest plan would be to convince René to transfer the extension key to the DAM team.


Another possibility is to have the extension key transferred "against his will" after 6 unanswered mails within 6 months (http://forge.typo3.org/wiki/extension-ect/Extensionkey_transfer). That would take a little more time...


Another idea was from Michiel in January 2009 when he wrote:

We have plans to 'rename' the extensions to sv_something for all the extraction services. That may give an opportunity for the patches to be applied to the new extension.

This way we could start "immediately".


Maybe we and Dan as leader could discuss this topic now in order to move on with this quite old topic.
