Hi Francois,

DAM can make use of the services to extract meta informations and
contents from a file being indexed. rene published a bunch of them, they
are still under his maintenance on TER and besides from some bugs they
still work afaik.

a year ago we discussed, if the DAM-group should take over maintenance
for them and it was stuckis suggestions to better reorganize their
structure in a meaningfull way and to publish the functionalities with
new keys, perhaps marking the original ones obsolete (cant remember what
was the decision on the last point).

below you see the structure we discussed as included in the proposals
posted top of the thread:

- sv_metaextract
   Consisting of
   - cc_metaexif
   - cc_metaexec
   - cc_meta_xmp
- sv_contentextract
   Consisting of
   - cc_txtextexec
   - cc_txtextphp
- sv_autocat
   Consisting of
   - cc_langguess and/or
   - cc_textcat
