<p dir="ltr">The idea is that you can have your storage including the processed files remote or something similar. Or have even an storage that supplies the processed files for you. There are some changes pending to improve the processing part so it can (better) handle processing files in non local storages.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I use for secured storages a folder outside of the document root. It makes sense to also have the procesed files there. </p>

A folder like (you mentioned it) typo3temp/processed/###<u></u>STORAGE_UID###/ would make sense to me than some subfolder placed in fileadmin.<br>

The reason I asked was that it seems safe to delete those files in the filadmin/_processed_ folder because they will be generated again when needed. So those files seem to be more like other files in the typo3temp folder than the "common" files you will find in the fileadmin folder.<br>
