IE 6 does not support alpha-transparent-pngs which looks "&%/ยง$%&" with sprites<br>
--> use an png transparency fix<br>

this one silently introduces a new hook in template.php which has been the only way to register the fix without hardcoding<br>
--> approved by Benni!<br>
