Hi,

I am pleased that the process is going to be restarted, I hope all effort is made to carefully remove any cronyism's from the past.

Looking at other decision making processes throughout the Typo3 project it appears that cronyism is deeply rooted in the community. It is so deep that the behaviours and processes appear normal and fair to the localised active participants. Cronyism is actually a form of political corruption. For Typo3 to extend beyond its European/German centricity this corruption needs to be completely eliminated.

To do that ALL decision making processes and discussions must be accessible by ALL members. That requires that these processes are always publicly accessible by ALL. Do not make decisions and discussions at meet-up events. Redirect all discussion to the online forum for all to see for the transparency of accountability.

In fact meat-space events should be kept to a minimum, if not eliminated completely. The harm they create to the global community as a whole outweighs the individual benefits of a localised few.

The internet allows an even playing field for all to participate globally, please use it.

Dave.
