I finally had time to look at it. For me it is fine if it gets to trunk 
and 4.1, you got +1 :)

Make I ask for a favor? When you create a patch, make paths relative to 
typo3 main directory. Eclipse by default creates absolute paths and such 
patches require manual changes before they can be applied. It is easy to 
convert absolure to relative before posting a patch :)
