This is worse. It means that we have to replace all occurencies of this function with someting else and possibly even make it configurable. The problem does not happen on my SuSE so far, so I still would like to use this function. But those who had this problem, should be able to disable it...

There is another similar option in Install tool to avoid certain bug in im (or gd? do not remember). Seems like we need another one :(
