Hi all,

According to the roadmap you see on [1], here are the currently
registered bugs/cleanup tasks to be performed for alpha1:

- 0016490: [Backend User Interface] Remove Internet Explorer 6 support
- 0014883: [Default] Remove deprecated methods with deprecation log from
core for 4.6
- 0016123: [Backend User Interface] remove DEPRECATED static templates
- 0017569: [Default] Remove typo3/gfx
- 0011822: [Backend User Interface] Add a warning for IE6 users in TYPO3 4.6
- 0017960: [Frontend] Remove support for old versions of IM/GM
  - 0016489: [Default] Remove ImageMagick 4 and ImageMagick 5 support
- 0017961: [Backend API] Remove global declarations inside methods
- 0017958: [Backend API] Add visibility to member fields
- 0017959: [Default] Remove safe_mode

Some tasks have been assigned already:

- 0014467: [Backend User Interface] t3lib_iconWorks::getIconImage is not
needed anymore (Steffen Ritter)
- 0010097: [Extension Manager] Use native SoapClient implementation of
PHP5 only (Marcus Krause)
- 0016726: [Backend API] tcaTree: Feature to make own record
unselectable (Steffen Ritter)
- 0017864: [Default] pagetree dataprovider should enable node
postprocessing (Tolleiv Nietsch)
- 0017844: [Default] remove workspace-previewInfo() (Tolleiv Nietsch)
  - 0017846: [Default] Preview info - should utilize hook_previewinfo
(Tolleiv Nietsch)
- 0016356: [Backend API] TcaTree with multiple roots (Steffen Ritter)

Goal of alpha1 is to have all "breaking changes" (drop of support of old
IM/GM, visibility on fields, ...) take place. This way, we can then
quietly tackle with problems that will possibly pop up.

For bugs that have been assigned already, is it OK for you? For the
other ones, I'd like to know who is willing to work on which bug.

Thanks for your work!
