That's how it's currently done.
And it's ok to use the textarea as fallback ;)

Setting css classes should be quite easy with aloha - i don't think that
there is a need for so much things.

Usefull stuff:
 - semantic markup
 - css classes
 - rdf?
 - links
 - images
