[TYPO3-v4] Rendering of exclude fields as checkboxes, huge usability regression?

Hi Helmut,

It's true that we have lost this little advantage. OTOH I think that
this change is huge usability improvement, because selecting numerous
fields was such a pain before (well, I mean I had already activated
checkbox rendering in my own package): it was very easy to click without
holding the shift or ctrl key and thus deselect any previous selection.
This was not always visible - especially in the list of allowed exclude
fields - because selected items might have been outside of the currently
visible items. This generated numerous errors with our clients,
sometimes made even by us. And the "undo" button was not a great help
since generally nobody understands what this button does (probably a
case where using an icon is not a good idea).

So while it's true that it may be a bit less functional, and that it
also involves more scrolling, I still think the checkbox rendering is
much better and that it makes sense to have it turned on by default.

If you don't like it, you can turn it off again ;-)

Cheers
