[TYPO3-v4] Friendly ghost - weekly summary (week #31)

Hi TYPO3 community,

here's my friendly ghost summary for last week (August, 1st - 7th 2011).

Few numbers:
============================
Open issues: 3455 (-31)
New issues last week: 36
Resolved issues: 40 (closed/resolved + last update last week)

(only counting Bugs/Features)

Important issues:
============================

Because of the release date of TYPO3 4.6beta1 last tuesday (August, 2nd)
and along with that the feature freeze for version 4.6 there was quite
some action on the first two days. The activity flattened a bit after
that when everybody was exhausted after getting some late features in.

Most importantly (IMHO) Patrick Broens' FORM project [1] made it into
the core. There's still some polishing and heavy testing needed so
please check out the new features and add your improvements to the
bugtracker.

Another new feature that has actively been discussed, also in this list,
is the Ext JS CardLayout for the BE of 4.6. Some suggestions to improve
its behaviour, in regards of consistency as well as new possibilities,
have already been reported:

#12664: the original feature request

#28756: UI - behaviour on module switch etc.

#28590: discussion about backporting performance optimisations into
version 4.5; see also:
