if i use your code without the paginate tags, it works correctly.

if i add (wrap) the paginate tags as you did, i only get the level 1 objects as

comment.uid, commet.text etc.

if the property contains other objects as comment.replies, they are not available any more.

i think this is a feature of the paginate viewhelper, because of performance reasons.
