Hi Steffen,
Thanks alot. I will note the typeConverter for a later Time. As the Production site still runs at TYPO3 4.5 LTS.
As the new Property Manager is not Available there I need to solve this problem is on my own then. And keep in mind fixing it after the site has been upgraded to 6.2 LTS.

Keep in mind it's a validator, not a modifier.
Don't mix contexts, otherwise your code will become hard to understand and maintain.

Alternatively you can use a TypeConverter of the rewritten propertymapper.
I don't have a working example at hand but I'm pretty sure google will find some. For example: http://forge.typo3.org/issues/52480
