[TYPO3-mvc] How to speed up the creation of 100.000+ objects in an extbase extension?

Besides the answers already given, do you really need to do this with 
Extbase? I have developed and published for a couple of years already an 
extension called "external_import" which is specialized in this kind of 
jobs. It may have trouble handling 100.000+ records from the BE module, 
but the Scheduler task should be fine.
