[TYPO3-mvc] DateTime in Fluid

Hello Dear List Members,

I have a property of type DateTime in my domain object. I am using 
f:form.text for editing the datetime with editAction. Following code 
works to show the existing date back into the field using the value 
attribute. Is this proper way or is there something like f:form.date 
available which i might not know?

<f:form.textbox property="datetime" 
value="{f:format.date(format:'{settings.dateFormat}', date: 
'{myObj.datetime}')}" />
