Hi Tim,

glad I could help. I think I would now try to break that circular reference. After unregistering the object, I would try to set all lazy loaded properties of the object to NULL. Maybe that already does the trick.

That it is much slower without lazy loading doesn't surprise me, I have made similar experiences. The DataMapper is quite slow in this respect. So if you do not need the lazy loaded objects, you should try to keep lazy loading and fix that leak.
