[TYPO3-mvc] DateViewHelper with german locale

Hi Stephen,
you already gave yourself all the correct and neccessary answers.
Check out the DateViewHelper within the ViewHelperIncubator-Project.

I think the DateTimeViewHelper is using the strftime function to output 
a localized date.
